"The History Has Left the Museum": a Zanesville 1810 Project Community Outreach Iniative

 

 

Programs about early local history will be available to local civic and school groups through a new project sponsored by the Pioneer and Historical Society of Muskingum and funded by the Taylot-McHenry Foundation. Programs will feature stories and information about Zanesville and Muskingum County during the early 1800s, with a focus on Zanesville's days as Ohio's second capital city. Insights gained from the Zanesville 1810 Lecture Series will be incorporated into the presentations whenever possible. Local historians and speakers, including members of the Historical Society, will be avaialable to bring presentations into classrooms, service club meetings, churches, nursing homes, and other community and civic groups.
